has a degree in Multimedia, has a master in Artistic and Contemporary Practices and holds a PhD in Fine Arts, all from the University of Fine Arts Porto (FBAUP). She is a researcher at the Institute for Research in Art, Design and Society (i2ADS) at the same University. Her artistic practice has been developing between margins: from Art to Extractivism. Since 2014, nitrate, charcoal, tungsteen, copper and lithium mines have been triggers for her artistic practice showed by her regular exhibitions. She has made a residence in Atacama Desert to get closer from big scale mining problematics with a published paper and a video: Soil Centered Resistance – Lovers of the Extreme, in Revista Vis (BR). With the perspective of repairing soil from old mines and protecting it from new ones to come, her work developed with the involvement of local communities and with soil, as a organic Gardener. Since 2018 she is next to Covas do Barroso community, a Global Agricultural Heritage one, to give empowerment for their acts of resistance against the opening of a open pit mine and the usurpation of common lands. Between 2021-2023 she was part of the research project SHS, NORTE-01-0145-FEDER-000056, with a site-specific piece in the former charcoal mines in Pejão, Castelo de Paiva, and the publication À Volta do Charco, i2ADS edition. Her video pieces are also showed in International Film Festivals – Videoformes (FR and EAU) , Over the Real (IT), Intersección (ES). She participate in the exhibition Lithium – States of Exhaustion, presented at the Galeria Municipal do Porto in 2023, as an extension of the Desejos Compulsivos course at Colectivo Pláka Porto (PT).
